Hi, I’m Peter Ericson.
Much of my life revolves around movies. I watch a lot of them in my quest for cinematic enlightenment, and every movie I watch gets logged and rated on Letterboxd (all my old movie reviews are available there, too). I work as a senior projectionist and film booker at Lidköpings Folkets Hus. Furthermore, I am the chairperson and webmaster of the Lidköping Film Society, and I serve as a board member of the Swedish Federation of Film Societies.
When I’m not watching or showing movies, one of my pastimes is software translation. I am an active contributor to the Swedish translations of Aegis Authenticator, Lawnchair, and OpenBoard. In the past, I have translated Auscomp IT Commander, Niagara Launcher, Novell Internet Messaging System, SmartFTP, and Weawow (Android app) into Swedish.
I have a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Skövde (my dissertation). After receiving my degree, I went on to study theoretical philosophy for two years at the same university, primarily philosophy of physics and philosophy of mind. I was particularly interested in quantum mechanics and David Bohm’s ideas of implicate and explicate orders and the holomovement.
